Date: 09 June 2008 - 24 June 2008
Time: 00:00 - 00:00
You are invited to take part in a series of Economic Summits being hosted by the East of England Regional Assembly (EERA) with the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) as part of the annual scrutiny programme to hold EEDA accountable for its strategies, plans and actions.
With the regional economic strategy (RES) and regional spatial strategy (RSS) due to be adopted shortly we have a clear spatial and economic direction for sustainable development in the East of England over the next 15-20 years. This direction will be supported by an East of England Implementation Plan which will set out how the region can make best use of investment and strategic programmes to achieve the goals set out in the RES and RSS and prepare the region's bid to Government through the expanded Funding Allocations Process in 2008/09.
This year's meetings provide real opportunities to discuss the major investment priorities for your sub-region which will be used to influence the final East of England Implementation Plan, led by EEDA, EERA and the Government Office for the East of England. The summits also give partners an opportunity to understand EEDA's impact in the local area and to question and challenge its policymaking and delivery roles.
Four meetings will be held across the region;
| 9 June, 4-7pm | Putteridge Bury Campus, Luton |
| 11 June, 4-7pm | Trinity Centre, Cambridge |
| 23 June, 4-7pm | Best Western Marks Tey, Colchester |
| 24 June, 4-7pm | Center Parcs, Thetford |
To register please complete the booking form and return it to Sue Houlder at the East of England Regional Assembly by fax to 01284 729429 or by email to sue.houlder@eera.gov.uk by 16 May 2008.
