Knowledge transfer

EEDA currently supports a number of schemes to increase collaboration between universities and businesses and to encourage new graduates to stay in the region.

Knowledge Partners East of England

Knowledge Partners East of England (KEEP) is a three way partnership between a company, a local university and a recent graduate. It aims to help businesses achieve something different - a project where the expertise and skills of the university and a high-calibre graduate would be beneficial in the planning and implementation of the project.

Examples of how KEEP can benefit companies include:

  • to develop and implement a marketing plan for a new product
  • build a web site or integrate your databases
  • improve manufacturing processes.

KEEP projects are short-term, usually up to six months, and are aimed specifically at small and medium sized businesses. The project requires the business to make a contribution of 60% of the total cost of the project. The projects complement the Knowledge Transfer Programme run by the Technology Strategy Board which may set up projects lasting up to 2 years.
