The performance data table shows actual achievements for the first half of the year and targets and forecasts for the year. These figures match the usual profile for projects where the majority of outputs are counted and verified in the second half of the year.
Most end year targets are forecast to be met or exceeded.
Jobs created or safeguarded: 846 of the 1,587 jobs created or safeguarded have been reported by Business Link and 354 by East of England International. The annual target of 4,350 is forecast to be exceeded by 1,493.
Employment support: 187 was achieved by the R2R programme supporting individuals to upgrade or change their skills to help find another job when faced with redundancy. The European Social Fund project Beyond 2010 - Improving Capabilities, contracted in September, is forecasting 1,150 employment support outputs this year.
Businesses created: Business Link reported 520 businesses created in the first half of the year.
Skills - number of people assisted in their skills development: 4,788 people were supported with skills development in the first half of the year, 1,583 were associated with the European Social Fund Towards 2010 project.
Businesses supported: 3,521 of the businesses supported in the first half of the year were reported by Business Link.
Public/private finance leveraged: To date over £42 million has been levered towards EEDA projects. £25.8 million of this is from the private sector (including £7.8 million from companies with Proof of Concept, Research and Development or Selective Finance for Investment in England grants and £8.8 million towards the Outer Harbour project in Great Yarmouth). The remaining £16.2 million is from the public sector (including £4.3 million towards the Outer Harbour project in Great Yarmouth and £6 million towards the Wouldham Road project in West Thurrock).
