Sharing good practice

A key route to increasing economic participation is to ensure the best quality of service delivery in the region. Part of EEDA's role is to work with both policy makers and support providers to identify and share the lessons of good practice.

One of the ways that EEDA does this is through 'action learning'. This is a facilitated process, bringing together small groups of people from a wide range of backgrounds. They are encouraged to think deeply about issues which interest them, work on real problems and challenges and develop new insights together. The lessons that emerge can then be used to equip organisations providing support and guide prioritisation of local investment.

EEDA is currently running two action learning programmes - one looking at ways to help people overcome barriers to enterprise and another on strategies for addressing work-limiting illness.
