Jamie Merrick

Executive director, strategy and intelligence

Jamie Merrick is currently EEDA's executive director of strategy and intelligence.

Jamie has responsibility for the development of the Regional Economic Strategy, East of England Implementation Plan, corporate planning, evaluation and regional intelligence functions. He has held a number of other positions within EEDA, including head of strategy, head of renaissance, where he was responsible for the strategic direction of the Regional Renaissance Product (a £30 million programme of major physical regeneration activities), and has led on initiatives such as Regional Cities East and joint investment plans with Arts Council England East and the Building Research Establishment. Previously, he has worked in Higher and Further Education, alongside a spell in the private sector.
