EEDA’s new value for money man
21 August 2009
EEDA has appointed a new executive director of corporate services. David Hipple will manage the agency’s operational functions, ensuring that EEDA continues to improve upon the excellent value for money they deliver.
David will join EEDA on 1 September from the Department for Transport. As former group finance director, he was responsible for the business planning, budgeting and financial management for the delivery of the Department’s £15 billion spend.
EEDA’s chief executive Deborah Cadman, said:
“I am delighted to welcome David to EEDA’s senior management team. He will play a key role in ensuring EEDA continues to improve upon the excellent value for money we have demonstrated over the last ten years – generating an average of £4.75 gross value added for every £1 invested – and delivering our value for money savings target for 2008-11.
“EEDA is committed to supporting SMEs by paying all invoices within 10 days – this is something David and our finance team will continue to deliver to help the region’s small businesses through these tougher economic times.”
David Hipple said:
“EEDA has a strong track record of delivering excellent value for money and efficiency savings which contribute to improving the economy of the East of England – as a resident of the region I am particularly excited about being a part of that.”
