Sustainable Economy
‘Sustainability’ is at the heart of everything EEDA does - from delivering major projects across the region to how we maintain our head office in Histon. It’s all about living within our environmental limits, and EEDA are leading important regional projects to deliver a ‘low-carbon economy’.
A good example of this is Renewables East, which has been set-up by EEDA to support the region’s rapidly growing environmental and energy technology industry.
Programmes like Improving Your Resource Efficiency are helping businesses to make changes to the way they work which will not only have a positive impact on their bottom line, but a healthy impact on our environment.
And here at EEDA, our aim is to become carbon neutral by 2010. We’re recycling anything and everything, refitting our buildings to reduce energy waste and helping our staff to cut their travelling miles. This is all being done in line with our ISO 14001 accreditation.
