Skills and retraining
Being equipped with the right skills allows people to make a really telling contribution in their workplace. Not only does that benefit the business’ productivity, but it gives that individual a better chance to further their own career. That’s why EEDA offers a range of support to businesses looking to strengthen their employees through skills training.
Train to Gain
Train to Gain offers funding to businesses who want to improve their workforce’s basic skills levels in numeracy and literacy. Train to Gain brokers can also direct employers to sources of good quality higher skills training. Find out more.
Beyond 2010
EEDA’s £7.2 million Beyond 2010 programme helps small to medium-sized businesses give staff new skills to move the business forward.
The programme works alongside Train to Gain to ensure businesses get the skills training they need. Companies employing up to 250 staff can contact specialist sector advisors who are able to discuss training needs and agree with the business which training course will best meet their needs.
