Southend eco-hub
- The eco-hub will support young disadvantaged entrepreneurs in Southend

- The hub will include affordable workspace, meeting rooms and conference facilities
- The hub has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Setting up your own environmentally-friendly business can be challenging enough, but in a tough economic climate, and little experience, success can be even harder to achieve.
However, with the help of the Southend YMCA, young disadvantaged entrepreneurs have been given a fighting chance, thanks to the conversion of a dilapidated building into a brand new eco-hub facility providing affordable workspace, meeting rooms and conference facilities.
The old St John's Stables, in Southend, has been transformed into the new eco-hub, which will provide vital support to help fledgling businesses during a crucial stage in their development.
