As a development agency tasked with improving the economy across six counties, EEDA recognises the diversity of local areas - both in terms of strengths, weaknesses and ongoing needs
In the last 11 years, EEDA has injected over £108 million directly into the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough economies. This has resulted in:
- 2,829 jobs created
- 15,933 people with improved skills
- 800 businesses helped to start and grow
- 5,235 business performance improvements
- 9,073 people supported into employment
- 98 hectares of brownfield land reclaimed
- £182 million leveraged in public and private investment.
EEDA also investes in supporting businesses across the region - funding services like Business Link, Beyond 2010 and the Manufacturing Advisory Service.
