EESCP boards

The East of England Skills and Competitiveness Partnership (EESCP) priorities are shaped by its three boards: the EESCP Board, Executive Commissioning Group and Implementation Group.

Each board acts as a forum enabling partners to shape and deliver a coordinated response to national policy in line with the skills challenges identified within the regional economic strategy. The EESCP Secretariat manages day-to-day coordination of the EESCP boards.

EESCP Board

Meets quarterly to provide strategic direction for the regional employment, skills and competitiveness agenda. The board supports government policy with regard to skills for young people (14-19); directs and monitors progress on the delivery of the Adult Skills and Employment Strategy; and directs progress of the Solutions for Business programme.

EESCP Executive Commissioning Group

Meets three times a year to address regional skills funding at a strategic level, taking direction from the EESCP Board. The group aims to align and remove barriers to funding; to direct the commissioning of a new regional joint investment plan; and respond to new remits to align investment across skills, employment and business growth priorities.

EESCP Implementation Group

Meets on a bi-monthly basis to address implementation issues at an operational level. This group ensures delivery mechanisms are in place to support the regional skills agenda, both within respective organisations and by acting as a conduit for a two-way exchange between the key regional networks.
