The future of Wastewater Treatment & Sewerage Systems
8 July 2010
If you are an SME, Consultancy, Academic Institution or feel that you could help bring the supply chain closer, bring innovative solutions to the world of wastewater, then please attend. It is also a fantastic opportunity to network.
UK CEED, Anglian Water and EEDA are launching a regional 'Water Innovation Network' across the East of England, including the Peterborough EnviroCluster. The aim of the network is to drive innovation within the water industry supply chain and to encourage industrial end-users of water to adopt innovative solutions that reduce water demand. The network is also a response to the many challenges faced by the water industry itself, including climate change, growth and the continued need for efficiency. The Water Innovation Network will focus on meeting these challenges and identify new approaches, working with organisations that have expertise and potential solutions for our industry.
The first event is on wastewater, so we are looking for organisations to attend a proactive one-day workshop at the Eco Innovation Centre in Peterborough.
When: Thursday 8 July 2010 at 09.00 - 17.00

The vision of a world-renowned low carbon innovation cluster
As the UK seeks to transform into a low carbon economy, it makes business sense to commercialise the region's reputation as the 'space for ideas' to answer the challenges of climate, resource and energy change. It is a new way of thinking. More than running a business, it's a new way of doing business. Our bold new vision is to take the first steps towards a world-renowned low carbon innovation cluster based in the East of England.
As the 'ideas region', the growth of our region as a low carbon economy depends upon our businesses, enterprise hubs, universities and research institutes thriving together, through investment in Research and Development (R&D) of low carbon technologies and through one shared vision.
