Business Support
EEDA recognises that businesses are the lifeblood of the economy. The Business Support programme will help the East of England to remain a leading region for starting and growing a business.
The programme will allow businesses in the region to take advantage of quality, publicly funded business support services.
It will also assist the East of England in meeting the challenges of maintaining regional growth rates and global competition.
Why do businesses in the region need the Business Support programme?
The East of England is in danger of falling behind the UK and global regions in terms of its ability to develop new businesses, although the East of England was the fastest growing region.
The programme is needed to enable and encourage businesses to access publicly-funded support services and to catalyse demand-led skills provision across the region.
By offering accessible business support to the region's businesses, EEDA can provide the right framework for growing business.
How will we deliver the programme?
The Business Support programme will be delivered through:
- developing a strategy in consultation with EEDA's partners
- Business Link East - the East of England's business information and support centre
- specialist sector support.
What will the Business Support programme achieve for business in the region?
The programme will achieve:
- enhanced business support services to benefit businesses in the region
- tailored and easily accessible knowledge for businesses in the region
- support for business representative organisations to articulate business priorities.
