Proof of Concept - New funding round announced

In response to the recent economic downturn, EEDA have announced an additional round of ‘Proof of Concept’ funding to assist companies in the region test the commercial viability of innovative business ideas

Entrepreneurs will be eligible to apply for a share of up to £300,000 but applications must be submitted by 28 November 2008. 

Applicants who are successful in the first stage of their application will be requested to attend a panel meeting week commencing 12 January 2009.

What is it?

The Proof of Concept fund is specifically aimed at helping define the market and assess customers' needs. Grants of between £5,000 and £40,000 are available - but funding is limited to 75 per cent of the project's total cost.
