Mike Southon

Mike Southon is the co-author of four best-selling business books, including The Beermat Entrepreneur, Sales on a Beermat and Finance on a Beermat.

Mike built and sold his own company in the 80s and worked with 17 start-ups in the 90s, two of which subsequently went public (and three of which went broke!) Mike is now one of the UK's leading business speakers, specializing in sales and entrepreneurship.  He is a Fellow of the Professional Speakers Association.

Mike has also advised many early-stage high-technology companies and sources of funding, including angel investors, Private Equity and Venture Capital companies.

Mike is a Visiting Fellow in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at London South Bank University.  He writes for many publications, including The Daily Telegraph, The Financial Times and Director, and has a monthly sales column in Fresh Business Thinking.
