Business opportunities of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games
Morag told Destination Growth delegates how they can win business from the Olympic Delivery Authorities through its open procurement processes.
The top tips Morag gave were:
- Visit www.london2012.com in January and register for a fully web-enabled procurement system.
- The biggest suppliers must openly tender 20% of the work they are awarded — so there are opportunities for SMEs
- 17% of businesses being funded to work on the games are from the East of England so far — so our region is punching above it’s weight.
