International investment
East of England International (EEI), supported by EEDA, serves both businesses seeking advice in trading overseas and foreign-owned companies seeking to invest here.
EEDA runs events and seminars that focus on international opportunities.
Networking at events
EEDA recognises that businesses which work together and learn are more likely to thrive and succeed, so we run events to promote regional partnerships.
London 2012
Due to its proximity to London, the East of England has potential business opportunities from the 2012 Games worth an up to an estimated £380 million. EEDA has information on how businesses can benefit from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to help you capitalise on this potential
EEDA's partners
EEDA acts as a catalyst for change, a commissioner of business support programmes and a strategic leader and facilitator of the regional economic strategy. We identify, listen to and assess the needs of business. Working with partners and stakeholders, we translate this information into business support initiatives. The majority of these initiatives are then delivered to business through our partners.
EEDA works in partnership with:
- local authorities
- communities
- local delivery vehicles
- sister organisations such as EEI, East of England Tourism, the Arts Council and sub-regional economic partnerships.

The majority of EEDA's budget is allocated in advance to long-term projects which are delivered through partner and sister organisations.
